Who writes and reviews content
Articles are written by the Complete Sleep editorial team. Dr. Adekunle Ajisebutu, a board-certified sleep physician and the site’s founder, is the medical reviewer: an article is marked “Medically reviewed” only after he has read and approved it, and the review date is shown in the article header. Articles he has not yet reviewed say so in the same place.
As of October 21, 2026, 0 of the 30 published articles carry a medical-review date; the rest are marked “Pending medical review” in their header while he works through them.
Each article shows who wrote it, its review status, the publication date, and the date it was last updated.
Sources
We rely on clinical practice guidelines (for example from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine), peer-reviewed research, and information from public health bodies. Articles that make specific factual claims list their sources at the end. Where evidence is limited, preliminary, or mixed, the article says so.
Every published article (30 of 30) currently lists its sources.
Updates and corrections
Articles are reviewed when guidance changes and at least every two years. If you believe something is inaccurate, contact us and we will check it. When an article is materially rewritten, a short “What changed” note appears under its byline and the updated date is changed.
Independence
Complete Sleep does not sell products or services, does not accept sponsored content, and does not run affiliate links. Recommendations are not influenced by manufacturers or clinics. The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the institutions that list Dr. Ajisebutu as a provider.
Use of AI tools
Many articles are drafted with AI writing tools from an outline and a list of sources chosen by the editorial team. Every draft is then fact-checked against those sources by the team before publication. AI tools do not decide what the site says: the sources do, and Dr. Ajisebutu’s review is the final check on medical content. No article is marked “Medically reviewed” on the strength of an automated check.
